What is "What's My IP?"

An IP (Internet Protocol) address is the unique identifier your device uses to communicate over the internet. This page detects your public IP address — both IPv4 and IPv6 when available — along with the city, region, country, ISP, and timezone associated with it. Everything is fetched live from public IP geolocation APIs and rendered directly in your browser.

Why is my IPv6 address blank?

Many home networks and mobile carriers are still IPv4-only. If your network doesn't have IPv6 connectivity, the IPv6 lookup will return blank or unavailable. That's expected.

Is my data stored anywhere?

No. The page calls public lookup APIs from your browser. We don't run a backend and we don't log your IP, fingerprint, or location.

Why does the location look slightly off?

IP geolocation is based on ISP-allocated ranges, not GPS. It's typically accurate to country and region but can be off by tens or hundreds of kilometers within a country.
